Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Head of Education and Programs to lead STEMpedia’s Education Department. This role will be responsible for driving the vision, delivery, operations, and overall performance of education programs, including curriculum development, training, and program execution, while directly leading and managing a 50+ member and cross-functional team across multiple verticals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Vision
- Define and manage STEMpedia’s education strategy, ensuring alignment across programs, partnerships, and institutional initiatives.
- Translate organizational goals into a clear, actionable education roadmap with measurable milestones and quarterly OKRs.
- Stay ahead of trends in EdTech, AI-in-education, competency-based learning, and NEP 2020 to inform program direction.
- Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow a 50+ member multi-disciplinary education team across six sub-departments.
- Drive strategic hiring, onboarding, and structured capability development plans for all education roles.
- Establish a high-performance culture through clear goal-setting, regular feedback loops, and transparent performance governance.
- Program Delivery & Quality
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of school programs, government projects, CSR mandates, and special initiatives ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-quality execution.
- Design and institutionalize SOPs, delivery frameworks, and quality benchmarks across all program types.
- Monitor learner outcomes and instructor effectiveness using data; drive continuous improvement through structured review cycles.
- Curriculum & Content
- Provide strategic oversight to the Curriculum & Content team to ensure learning design is pedagogically rigorous, age-appropriate, and technology-integrated.
- Ensure curriculum is regularly updated to reflect emerging technologies (AI, ML, Robotics, AR/VR) and is aligned with national and international education standards.
- Champion assessment frameworks that measure real competency gains, not just completion metrics.
- Cross-Functional Alignment & Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with Product, Sales, Operations, and Leadership to ensure education delivery supports product goals and market commitments.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for partner and client education commitments, contractual deliverables, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the Education function in strategic conversations with institutional partners, government bodies, and CSR stakeholders.
- Operations, Finance & Data
- Own budget planning, forecasting, and resource optimization for the Education Department.
- Build and maintain departmental KPIs and performance dashboards; use data to drive decisions on staffing, program design, and partner strategy.
- Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks to improve efficiency and scalability across all education functions.

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, IT) or Science (IT, Electronics, Physics), or an equivalent technical qualification.
- 7+ years of leadership experience in education operations, preferably within the EdTech ecosystem.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large, cross-functional education teams at scale.
- Strong understanding of Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, AR/VR, and emerging education technologies.
- Solid expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, assessments, and modern pedagogical frameworks.
- Proven experience in budget management, financial planning, and resource allocation for large-scale education programs.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making and operational improvement.
- Demonstrated track record in designing, launching, and scaling impactful education initiatives and programs.
