Role Overview

The Manager – Compensation & Benefits will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing competitive and compliant Total Rewards programs across India and APAC markets. This role will partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Business Leaders to drive compensation strategies aligned with business growth, talent attraction, and retention priorities across diverse markets within the APAC region.

The incumbent will play a critical role in supporting workforce planning, leadership hiring, market benchmarking, and cost optimization initiatives through data-driven compensation insights.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Strategy & Benchmarking

  • Design and implement compensation frameworks aligned with organizational objectives across India and APAC.
  • Conduct market benchmarking using tools such as Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Aon Radford, etc.
  • Provide compensation insights for leadership and niche hiring across Technology, Manufacturing, Sales & Digital functions.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition teams (India/APAC) to define competitive salary ranges for critical and evergreen roles.
  • Support job evaluation, salary banding, and grading exercises across regional markets.

Annual Rewards Cycle

  • Lead Annual Compensation Review, Salary Increment, and Bonus Planning processes for APAC region.
  • Manage salary structure revisions based on inflation, market movement, and internal parity.
  • Ensure pay equity and internal fairness through analytics-driven decision making.

Benefits Management

  • Design and administer employee benefits programs including insurance, retirement plans, allowances, and wellness initiatives.
  • Liaise with external vendors and brokers for benefits administration and renewal negotiations.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance across India and APAC countries.

Analytics & Governance

  • Develop dashboards and reports on compensation trends, pay mix, and cost modeling.
  • Support business cases for new hiring through compensation cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with Global Talent Intelligence teams on workforce cost optimization and location strategy insights (e.G., India vs. SEA hiring).
  • Ensure compliance with statutory norms and global Total Rewards policies.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with HRBPs and Finance to align reward strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide advisory support on offers, promotions, retention cases, and relocation proposals.
  • Support M&A or new country expansion activities with compensation framework design.

Qualification & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards role.
  • Experience in handling multi-country APAC compensation programs preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with exposure to HR analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
  • Prior experience working in Global Capability Centers (GCC) or MNC environments preferred.
