Position: Deputy Manager / Product Manager – FS
Location: Gurugram
Reporting to: Senior Product Manager – FS
Position Summary
Strengthen the existing product portfolio and develop new products by identifying potential opportunities; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timelines, pricing, and integrated launch plans; and developing marketing strategies.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Determine customer needs and desires by specifying and driving the research required to obtain market insights.
- Recommend the scope and direction of current and future product lines by reviewing specifications, evaluating new ideas, and suggesting product or packaging improvements.
- Identify domestic and international suppliers; negotiate pricing and commercial terms to ensure competitiveness.
- Assess market competition by benchmarking company products against competitors.
- Define product marketing communication objectives and provide source data for campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Sales Head to develop and execute product sales strategies.
- Analyze market data through customer visits and joint fieldwork with sales teams.
- Prepare short-term and long-term sales forecasts, reports, and business analyses for management.
- Ensure product availability and optimize inventory turnover by aligning inventory levels and production schedules.
- Drive new product development by evaluating requirements, conducting ROI analysis, and coordinating timelines with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Develop pricing strategies using market insights, cost structures, and demand forecasts.
- Oversee execution by coordinating cross-functional teams and tracking deliverables.
- Contribute to overall team objectives and business goals.
Experience
5–10 years of experience in the building materials, laminate, or furniture hardware industry (preferred).
