Role DescriptionThe Sales Associate role at Goobe’s Books is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. Responsibilities include assisting customers with book selections, organizing and maintaining shelves, handling transactions, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The role also involves promoting store events, keeping the inventory updated, and contributing to marketing activities such as social media engagement and campaigns. The Sales Associate will play a key role in fostering strong customer relationships and upholding the bookstore’s reputation for friendly, knowledgeable service. Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills, including communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of books, genres, and authors, with a passion for reading and literature
- Proficiency in basic sales and cashiering tasks, including operating a point-of-sale system
- Organizational skills for shelving, inventory management, and maintaining store displays
- Experience in social media management and marketing is a plus
- A customer-focused, team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Prior experience in retail or a bookstore environment is preferred
- Flexibility to work weekends or holidays, as needed, and the ability to stand for extended periods
