About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Clearance & Settlement Specialist to join our operations team. This role involves managing the end-to-end trade life cycle, resolving settlement issues, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of security transfers.

The ideal candidate will have strong operational expertise, knowledge of SWIFT messages (MT 500-599), and the ability to provide both customer and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage the end-to-end trade life cycle, including trade capture, matching, clearing, and settlement.

– Resolve settlement breaks, discrepancies, and operational issues related to securities transfers. – Monitor and process SWIFT messages (MT 500-599) accurately and efficiently.

– Liaise with internal teams, brokers, custodians, and counterparties to ensure smooth settlement processes.

– Provide operational support for both customer-related queries and internal escalations.

– Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to settlements and reconciliations. – Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance settlement efficiency

Required Skills & Experience: –

Strong understanding of the securities trade life cycle (equities, ETFs, bonds, etc.).

– Experience handling settlement issues and security transfers.

– In-depth knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards, particularly MT 500-599.

– Prior experience in operations or back-office roles within a brokerage or wealth management environment.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

– Excellent communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

– Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
