About the Role
We are seeking a highly accomplished Financial Controller / Finance Leader with deep expertise in financial controllership, accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and strategic finance to lead and strengthen our finance function.
This role is ideal for a senior professional with experience across end-to-end accounting, FP&A, treasury, audits, and financial governance, who can operate both strategically and hands-on. The successful candidate will partner closely with leadership to drive financial clarity, improve processes, optimize cash flow, and build scalable finance operations that support business growth.
Candidates with experience working with international businesses, US accounting environments, real estate, infrastructure, or multi-entity organizations will be highly valued.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Controllership & Accounting Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end finance and accounting lifecycle including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, payroll, and month-end close
- Ensure timely preparation and review of financial statements, management reports, and reporting packs
- Oversee multi-entity accounting environments ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls
- Drive accounting clean-ups, process standardization, and implementation of robust SOPs
Reporting, FP&A & Business Insights
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance insights
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and long-range financial modeling
- Provide actionable insights to leadership on profitability, margins, working capital, and business performance
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting frameworks
Treasury, Cash Flow & Capital Management
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization
- Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, and lender coordination
- Support fundraising initiatives, debt structuring, and capital planning when required
Compliance, Audit & Governance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and tax requirements (including US GAAP / local regulations as applicable)
- Lead internal and external audits and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Strengthen internal control frameworks, risk management, and governance standards
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance and accounting teams
- Implement automation, ERP improvements, and technology-driven finance processes
- Establish standardized close calendars, reconciliation frameworks, and reporting discipline
- Drive operational efficiency and scalability across finance functions
Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with CEO, CFO, and leadership teams on financial strategy and decision-making
- Support business expansion, pricing strategies, and investment decisions with financial analysis
- Engage with investors, lenders, auditors, and external stakeholders when required
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant / CPA / CMA / ICWA or equivalent qualification
- 6+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Strong expertise in financial controllership, reporting, and accounting operations
- Experience managing multi-entity environments and finance teams
- Experience partnering with senior leadership (CEO / CFO level)
- Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Systems & Tools
Hands-on experience with:
- ERP / Accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Xero, Zoho, or similar)
- Advanced Excel / Financial Modeling
- Financial dashboards and reporting tools
- Automation and process improvement initiatives
