Job Description:

A leading organisation in the Healthcare sector — Tertiary Cardiac Care & Interventional Cardiology services. We deliver high‑acuity cardiac interventions, emergency reperfusion care, and advanced cath‑lab procedures across India. This is an on‑site Interventional Cardiologist role based in India focused on delivering best‑in‑class procedural outcomes and multidisciplinary cardiac care.

Primary title: Interventional Cardiologist

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and lead complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including bifurcation, chronic total occlusion (CTO) strategies, and adjunctive atherectomy when indicated.
  • Deliver timely primary PCI for acute coronary syndromes (STEMI/NSTEMI) and manage peri‑procedural care including anticoagulation and haemodynamic stabilization.
  • Utilize intravascular imaging (IVUS/OCT) to guide lesion assessment, stent sizing, and optimise procedural outcomes.
  • Manage device therapies: temporary/permanent pacemaker implantation and support device deployment (IABP/other circulatory support) during high‑risk procedures.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary heart‑team reviews with cardiac surgery, critical care, and imaging teams to plan complex cases and referrals.
  • Ensure clinical governance: maintain accurate documentation, informed consent, cath‑lab protocols, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews and training of junior staff.

Skills & Qualifications Must‑Have

  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
  • Coronary angiography
  • Transradial access techniques
  • Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)
  • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
  • Rotational atherectomy
  • Intra‑aortic balloon pump (IABP) management
  • Temporary and permanent pacemaker implantation

Preferred

  • Experience with chronic total occlusion (CTO) techniques and complex bifurcation stenting
  • Fellowship or advanced training in Interventional Cardiology or Structural Heart interventions
  • Familiarity with structural procedures (TAVR/left atrial appendage occlusion) or peripheral vascular interventions

Qualifications (Clinical)

  • MBBS with MD/DNB in Cardiology or equivalent medical qualifications
  • Valid Indian medical registration and current BLS/ACLS certification
  • Proven on‑site cath‑lab experience with a record of independently performing complex coronary interventions
