About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Creative Director – Art who combines strong conceptual abilities with exceptional design craftsmanship. This role requires someone who can elevate visual storytelling, lead design teams, and shape the artistic direction across integrated campaigns—digital, social, film, and experiential.
You will partner closely with Strategy, Copy, Account Management, and Production to ensure ideas are not only visually powerful but also aligned with brand objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Leadership
- Lead the visual direction for campaigns and content across digital, social, video, and integrated marketing platforms.
- Translate brand strategies into compelling visual ideas that stand out and perform.
- Oversee end‑to‑end execution—from concepting to final delivery—ensuring high creative standards.
2. Team Leadership
- Lead the team of Graphic Designer confidently during fast-paced campaign cycles, shifting priorities, and changing briefs
- Cultivate a high-performance creative culture by setting clear expectations and modelling strong craft discipline.
- Motivate designers, visualizers, and junior art talent to push boundaries and deliver bold, original work.
- Coach team members on design fundamentals, craft excellence, and integrated thinking.
- Provide structured feedback that strengthens capability and builds confidence — aligned with dLA elements like Nurture Talent and Growth Mindset.
3. Art Direction & Design Excellence
- Guide designers, visualizers, illustrators, and motion artists toward cohesive visual outputs.
- Ensure design consistency, quality, and brand alignment across all touchpoints.
- Provide sharp creative critiques and mentor team members to improve output.
4. Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Copy ACD/CD to craft cohesive campaign ideas.
- Work closely with Strategy to shape insight-driven creative solutions.
- Present creative work confidently to internal teams and clients.
5. Production Oversight
- Supervise the production process, including pre and post production, 3D Graphics, and motion graphics
- Collaborate with photographers, directors, stylists, and production partners during shoots and post-production.
- Ensure final deliverables meet creative vision, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
6. Innovation & Trend Awareness
- Stay ahead of digital design trends, cultural shifts, and platform behavior (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, emerging formats).
- Introduce new creative techniques, storytelling formats, and visual styles to keep the work fresh and future-ready.
- Introduce new visual styles, tech, formats, and creative techniques to keep the team’s output contemporary and future-fit.
Qualifications & Skills
- 12+ years of experience in an Art/Creative role, preferably in a digital-first or integrated agency.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-caliber art direction, design, and campaign work.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, InDesign), motion basics, and visual storytelling.
- Experience mentoring and managing creative teams.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms, content formats, and brand building.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver under tight timelines.
