Almonds AI pioneers AI-driven channel loyalty, rewards, and engagement solutions for FMCG and retail ecosystems. We’re seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead merchant acquisition for credit card offers and loyalty programs, forging strategic alliances to drive platform growth.
Role Overview
Lead end-to-end merchant acquisition, onboarding merchants for credit card-linked offers, loyalty rewards, and co-branded campaigns. Build partnerships with banks, card networks, and fintechs like those in Thriwe and Pine Labs models. Report to Co-founder/CRO, based in Gurgaon/Mumbai, with travel.
Key Responsibilities
– Acquire and onboard merchants (national, hyperlocal) for credit card offers, loyalty programs, and rewards, targeting dining, travel, retail, and FMCG sectors.
– Forge alliances with banks, payment networks, and partners; negotiate revenue shares, contracts, and SLAs.
– Develop strategies for merchant ecosystem expansion, campaign execution, performance tracking, and retention to maximise ROI.
– Collaborate with product, sales, and ops teams; analyse metrics like redemptions, revenue share, and utilisation.
– Drive revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and seasonal campaigns while ensuring compliance and high merchant satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
– 5+ years in merchant acquisition, partnerships, or loyalty at fintechs, banks, or rewards platforms.
– Proven track record in B2B sales, onboarding merchants, negotiating deals with card issuers and networks.
– Experience with credit card offers, loyalty ecosystems, and categories like dining, travel, lifestyle.
– Strong network in Indian fintech, banking, and retail; MBA preferred.

– Expertise in revenue optimisation, campaign ROI, and data-driven decisions (SQL/analytics a plus)
– Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and storytelling for stakeholder buy-in.
– Hands-on leader who builds teams; travel-ready (metros, Tier 2).
