About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled T24 Data Migration ETL Specialist with strong expertise in data migration, ETL processes, and Temenos T24 (Transact) systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in core banking transformation programs by ensuring accurate, efficient, and secure migration of legacy data into T24 environments.
Responsibilities
- Work efficiently as part of an international multi-disciplinary team to drive the project to completion.
- Design and execute ETL strategies for Transact Data migration (Legacy to Transact) using ETL tool – Data stage.
- Work with Migration team, Business Analyst, Legacy team to provide Data mapping solutions in Data mapping workshops.
- Design Data model/Data transformation jobs in Data stage and generate transformed file.
- Perform data extraction from legacy core banking system, RDBMS, flat files or third party systems.
- Develop data transformation logic aligned with Transact data model and OFS standards.
- Prepare migration strategy documents, mapping sheets and runbooks specific to ETL
- Perform pre-migration and post migration data validations.
- Prepare reconciliation reports by comparing record count, balances, financial totals and Identify & resolve data mismatches and defects.
- Adhere to banking compliance, audit and security standards.
- Provide production/L3 support for the delivered projects.
- Work with the Business Analyst and Solution architects to understand the business requirements and translate them to technical solutions in the application.
- Contribute / review the technical specifications.
- Responsible for managing & reporting technical risks.
- Control and Maintain the quality of the developments (norms & standards, frameworks, source control, technical reviews, code reviews)
- Work with L1/L2 support team in case of emergency production issue and provide support in fixing the production incidents.
- Provide guidance to team members.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Transact SRE (Scalability and Reliability tests, Data Encryption, Data Anonymization, Logging and Monitoring, Authentication and Authorization, Cybersecurity controls, etc.)
- Strong SQL/RDBMS knowledge.
- Hands-on ETL development experience.
- Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Expertise includes Data Analysis, Data Modeling, Data cleansing, Data Transformation, Integration, Migration, Data import/Export, Conversion using ETL tool.
- Proficient in designing and administering IBM DataStage jobs, optimizing ETL workflows and experience in using shell scripts for automation.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python and Java.
- Knowledge of operating systems and monitoring tools is necessary.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control tools, and databases is required.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash is crucial.
- Additionally, experience with Kubernetes is necessary for managing containerized applications effectively.
- And acombination of additional skills/experience in:
- Docker, Kubernetes, Wildfly/Jboss
- IBM MQ, Active MQ, Kafka
- Cloud platform say IBM cloud, Keda, Prometheus
- PostgreSQL, MySQL/MSSQL
- Strong knowledge about design patterns and development principles.
- Good practical knowledge of design of RDBMS and SQL
- Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience and knowledge of automated testing (TDD, BDD).
- Proven/previous experience with CI/CD, DevOps and Agile.
- General knowledge/experience on Banking or knowledge related to Wealth Management / Private banking.
