Job Title: Senior Manager – SPOT

Role Summary
In this role, the individual will be responsible for managing key aspects of the end-to-end Spot business, including spot gold procurement, international imports, and the development of spot-related products and services. The role also involves close collaboration with customer support, technology, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
This position requires a strong balance of market understanding and operational expertise, with ownership of critical processes, effective stakeholder management, and active contribution to the expansion and management of SPOT centers.
Key Responsibilities:
Spot Gold Purchasing & Market Operations:
- Lead spot gold buying based on live domestic and international market prices.
- Own daily buying decisions, timing, volumes, and execution.
- Track gold prices, premiums, spreads, and liquidity to optimize sourcing.
New Products & Services (SPOT):
- Conceptualize and roll out new SPOT products and services aligned with market demand.
- Work closely with business and leadership teams to evolve the SPOT offering.
- Continuously improve pricing models, turnaround times, and service experience.
Procurement & International Imports:
- Coordinate end-to-end gold procurement and international imports.
- Liaise with overseas suppliers, bullion banks, logistics partners, and clearing agents.
- Ensure compliance with customs, RBI, DGFT, and other regulatory norms.
Technology Development (Coordination Role):
- Act as the business owner for SPOT tech requirements.
- Coordinate with tech teams for:
- SPOT platform enhancements
- Process automation
- Reporting and MIS improvements
- Ensure tech solutions align with operational and customer needs.
Customer Support Oversight:
- Oversee customer support for SPOT operations, ensuring quick resolution and high service quality.
- Work with support teams to streamline processes, escalation mechanisms, and SLAs.
- Use customer feedback to improve SPOT products and services.
SPOT Centers – Expansion & Management:
- Visit, manage, and strengthen existing SPOT centers.
- Identify opportunities to develop and onboard new SPOT centers.
- Ensure standardization of processes, compliance, and service quality across locations.
- Build strong on-ground relationships and operational discipline.
Risk, Compliance & Governance:
- Manage exposure to price volatility, settlement risk, and operational risk.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Work closely with finance, compliance, and legal teams.
Reporting & Leadership Communication:
- Maintain MIS on spot purchases, imports, margins, operations, and performance.
- Provide regular market insights, performance updates, and recommendations to leadership.
- Support inputs for management and investor presentations related to SPOT.
Candidate Profile
Must-Have
- 10–15 years experience in the gold / bullion industry.
- Strong hands-on exposure to spot gold purchasing.
- Experience with international gold imports and procurement.
- Proven experience managing operations and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong understanding of domestic and global gold market dynamics.
- Exposure to managing multi-location operations or centers.
