Job Description – Market Intelligence Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As part of the NX strategy department, the Market Intelligence manager works closely with cross-functional NX leadership to inform strategic decision-making—including insights into the market, customers, and competitors. This position is responsible for gathering strategic data and information, analyzing trends and scenarios and conducting other business analytics in support of strategic planning and execution across NX product lines and markets.

Function of the Position:

The role is a full-time professional position that works with senior management to support strategic planning activities by providing actionable data and/or recommendations based on assessments of markets and competitors, both existing and potential.

  • Identify and collect appropriate customer, competitor, market, economic, financial and/or operational data through primary and secondary research and interaction with global sales teams
  • Perform financial, statistical, and qualitative data analysis of markets and competitors
  • Translate data into executable and effective market and intelligence reports

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supplies the market and competitive intelligence component of strategic planning, and makes recommendations to management concerning key intelligence items that require further consideration
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading reports, market research, sales team interaction, maintaining proprietary in-house models, and financial analysis.
  • Provides market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to the Executive Leadership Team and various internal management teams to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making and implementation
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key internal customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges and to enhance their use of strategic analysis and market and competitor intelligence
  • Ensure that appropriate communication channels are maintained. Collaborates internally to ensure intelligence is shared with appropriate groups and individuals.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of work experience desired
  • Master’s Degree, preferably from a premier institute required
  • Familiarity with solar technology and markets including solar trackers, EBOS, inverters, etc.
  • Ability to independently manage projects and drive to high-quality deliverables
  • High level of curiosity and resourcefulness in sourcing information
  • Strong data analysis skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills for summarizing and reporting key outputs
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; comfort with conducting presentations with senior leadership (including remotely via video conferencing)
  • Position requires working global hours with US and European/LATAM teams
