Main activities/responsibilities:

• Define internal SW Requirements for On Board Diagnostic and Communication Functions

• Managing Diagnostic Extract or Candela Files for Diagnostic items

• Design Embedded SW Solutions implementing SW Requirements for On Board Diagnostic and 

Communication Functions for AUTOSAR 4.x based Architecture

• Handling of RIDs (Routine Identifiers), designing routines, subfunctions and preconditions for 

diagnostic services. 

• Design and execute unit testing for SW components developed

• Follow the V – Cycle development flow assuring compliance with Automotive Spice best practices for 

On Board Diagnostic and Communication Functions

• Maintain and improve effectiveness, reliability and efficiency of the function under responsibility

• Capability and strong willingness to resolve and troubleshoot Communication Tool issues

• Support the SW Validation Team in definition of software Test Case patterns (Description / Result)

• Support the SW Validation Team in analysis of software Test Case Results 

Mandatory Experiences

• Strong knowledge C Programming language for embedded applications

• Strong experience in handling RIDs (Routine Identifiers), designing routines, subfunctions and 

preconditions for diagnostic services. 

• RTE integration and data flow in Diagnostic stack of basics software

• Design and execute unit testing for SW components developed

• AUTOSAR architecture with focus on Diagnostics and communication (COMM stack DiagServices stack)

• Autosar Diagnostic Extract or Candela file (Vector Candela)

• Unit Test Analysis (Vector CAST, Polyspace)

• Configuration Management tools and techniques (GIT/Bitbucket)

• Change Management tools and techniques (Jira)

• ETAS INCA for ECU Measurement, Calibration and Diagnostics

• Vector tool suite for Diagnostic/Periodic Comm monitoring (CANalyzer or Canoe)

The following Knowledges will be regarded as a plus:

• Requirement Management (Doors)

• Implement Software Modules according to Control Design with autocode tools

• Basic knowledge of GitHub BusMaster 

• Knowledge of other programming language (Java, Python…)

• Knowledge of Linux environmental

• ISO 14229-1 (Road Vehicles – Unified Diagnostic Services) for data analysis

• SAE J1979 (E/E Diagnostic Test Mode for comm with Legislated ScanTool) for data analysis
