Development Support Engineer / Senior Development Support Engineer

We are looking for a Development Support Engineer to join our Engineering Support team in Bangalore. This role focuses on diagnosing complex technical issues, supporting DevOps workflows, and helping customers successfully deploy and maintain modern CI/CD environments.

Depending on experience, candidates may be considered for either Development Support Engineer or Senior Development Support Engineer roles.

Key Responsibilities

1.Technical Support

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

• Perform Java application troubleshooting using thread dumps, heap dumps, and garbage collection logs

• Provide guidance on DevOps best practices and deployment workflows

• Assist customers with complex configuration, setup, and troubleshooting of development environments

2.Customer Engagement

• Respond to customer inquiries via ticketing systems, email, and occasional phone calls for urgent issues

• Work closely with customers to understand their technical challenges and deliver effective solutions

• Contribute to documentation and knowledge base articles to support self-service troubleshooting

3.Collaboration & Tools Development

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to escalate and resolve technical issues

• Build or enhance internal tools that automate diagnostics and improve support efficiency

4.Continuous Learning

• Stay updated with evolving DevOps tools, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices

• Participate in team discussions, technical reviews, and collaborative troubleshooting

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting Java applications using thread dumps, heap dumps, and GC logs

• Strong experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English

Additional Requirements for Senior Role

• 5+ years of experience in Java application troubleshooting

• Experience administering Jenkins or troubleshooting CI/CD builds

• Advanced Linux troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Java development

• Knowledge of enterprise technologies such as LDAP, databases, and REST APIs

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• DevOps or Kubernetes certifications

• Contributions to open-source projects or Jenkins community

• Experience in a customer-facing technical support role
