About the Role
We are a best-in-class global alternatives platform with approximately USD 2 billion in AUA/AUM, looking to hire an exceptionally high-calibre Investment Analyst to join our global team in Mumbai.
This role sits at the core of our investment platform, focused on allocating capital across global hedge funds and private market strategies, with direct exposure to senior leadership and international fund managers.
The position requires a high level of quantitative and financial expertise, complemented by strong qualitative judgment and a deep understanding of investment risk and manager selection.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead evaluation and due diligence of global hedge funds and private market managers across strategies and geographies
- Conduct detailed Investment Due Diligence (IDD) and Operational Due Diligence (ODD) on fund houses, aligned with the requirements and standards of institutional investors
- Prepare and deliver IDD and ODD reports tailored to institutional investor frameworks
- Proactively source and engage with global fund managers, building a high-quality and differentiated pipeline
- Design and implement portfolio construction frameworks, including allocation, diversification, and risk management
- Perform advanced quantitative analysis including risk modeling, correlation analysis, drawdown assessment, and performance attribution
- Apply strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyze company balance sheets, financial statements, and underlying portfolio exposures
- Prepare high-quality investment notes, IC memos, and research reports with clarity, depth, and precision
- Monitor portfolios actively and contribute to entry and exit decisions, performance tracking, and ongoing risk assessment
- Take end-to-end ownership and accountability for product evaluation, selection, and portfolio outcomes
Candidate Profile
- MBA from a top-tier institute
- CFA Charterholder (Mandatory)
- Minimum 5+ years of direct experience in alternative investments
- Hedge Funds / Fund of Funds / Private Credit / Multi-asset alternatives
- Demonstrated experience in manager selection, portfolio construction, and institutional-grade due diligence (IDD & ODD)
- Very strong quantitative and financial expertise, with hands-on experience in portfolio analytics, risk frameworks, and performance attribution
- Strong ability to analyze financial statements and underlying investments
- Proven ability to engage with and evaluate global fund managers
- Excellent writing and research skills, with the ability to independently prepare detailed diligence reports and investment documentation
- High ownership mindset with the ability to take responsibility for investment decisions and outcomes
- Strong judgment, intellectual rigor, and ability to operate in a high-performance environment
