Job Description:
Role Overview
We are looking for a sharp, curious Product Intern to join us for a 3-month engagement. You will work at the intersection of user research, product analysis, and operational support. This is a hands-on role — you will speak directly with users, dig into real product data, and help us make better decisions about where to take the product next.
This is a great fit if you enjoy working closely with users, are comfortable with ambiguity, and want to see the direct impact of your work on a live AI product.
What You’ll Do
User Research & Feedback Collection
- Conduct structured and informal conversations with users to gather feedback on the product.
- Document and synthesise user insights into actionable findings for the product team.
- Identify recurring pain points, feature requests, and unmet needs from user interactions.
AI Output Analysis
- Review outputs generated by our AI product — a first-draft writing tool for journalists.
- Analyse user chat sessions with the AI to understand how journalists interact with the product.
- Map AI-generated drafts to corresponding published articles to evaluate output quality, accuracy, and relevance.
Product Research & Analysis
- Research competitive products, industry trends, and best practices in AI tools for media.
- Assist in building frameworks or trackers to monitor product performance and user satisfaction.
- Support product operations as needed — including documentation, analysis, and reporting.
Who We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in any discipline (Engineering, Management, Journalism, Social Sciences, or related fields).
- Strong communication skills — comfortable speaking with users and synthesising what you hear.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail; ability to spot patterns across qualitative and quantitative data.
- Genuine curiosity about AI, media, and the future of journalism.
- Self-starter who can work independently in a fully remote setup.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where priorities can shift quickly.
What You’ll Gain
- Direct exposure to an early-stage AI startup and the news media industry.
- Hands-on experience across user research, product thinking, and AI product evaluation.
- Close collaboration with the founding team and real influence over product decisions.
- A strong addition to your portfolio with tangible, documented impact.
