About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive and technically skilled Linux / Cloud Support Engineer to join our team. You’ll manage, optimize, and troubleshoot Linux-based servers and cloud environments, ensuring seamless uptime and top performance for global clients. The role demands ownership, deep technical curiosity, and the ability to handle high-impact infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian) across hosting and cloud platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance, load, I/O, service, and network issues.
  • Deploy and tune LAMP/LEMP stacks (Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL/MariaDB).
  • Monitor systems with Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, and proactively act on alerts.
  • Perform log analysis (syslog, journalctl, secure, application logs) for incident resolution.
  • Apply security patches, OS updates, and implement hardening best practices.
  • Automate tasks and server maintenance using Bash, Ansible, or Python.
  • Support cloud migrations and setups across AWS / DigitalOcean / similar providers.
  • Configure networking, firewall, and load-balancing for high-availability environments.
  • Manage hosting control panels (cPanel, Plesk, Webmin, Virtualmin).
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, RCA reports, and internal KBs.
  • Provide direct client support via email, ticketing, and chat—resolving escalated cases independently.

Technical Expertise

  • Operating Systems: Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian
  • Web Stack: Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL/MariaDB
  • Monitoring: Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Automation / Scripting: Bash, Ansible, Python (basic)
  • Security: iptables, firewalld, SSL/TLS, OS hardening
  • Virtualization: KVM, LXC, Docker (optional but preferred)
  • AWS Cloud Services:
  • Compute & Storage: EC2, EBS, S3
  • Scaling & Load Management: Auto Scaling, Load Balancer (ALB/ELB)
  • Networking & CDN: Route 53, CloudFront
  • Monitoring & Logging: CloudWatch
  • DevOps / CI-CD: ECS, ECR, CodePipeline, Lambda
  • Database: RDS

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Linux / Cloud Support or System Engineer
  • Proven skills in Linux server administration and troubleshooting
  • Familiar with AWS and virtualization technologies
  • Comfortable in 24×7 or rotational shifts for global client support
  • Strong communication and client-handling ability
  • Prior experience in ticket-based support systems
