Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer / Designer to support our web development and maintenance projects. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to build technical skills while working on real client websites and leveraging modern AI-driven development tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, customization, and maintenance of websites (primarily WordPress or similar CMS platforms)
- Convert Figma designs into responsive, high-quality websites
- Perform regular website updates including plugins, themes, and core system updates
- Monitor and maintain website security, including SSL setup, renewals, and basic security best practices
- Conduct technical website audits to identify performance, SEO, and usability issues
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and user experience
- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP)
- Use AI-powered tools to support development, debugging, and workflow automation
- Implement basic automation to improve development and maintenance efficiency
- Troubleshoot website issues and provide timely fixes
- Support hosting-related tasks including DNS configuration, domain management, and site migrations
- Collaborate with SEO and marketing teams to implement technical improvements
- Assist in website design updates, UI enhancements, and responsiveness across devices
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms
- Ability to work with and translate Figma designs into functional websites
- Strong understanding of website performance optimization techniques
- Familiarity with Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) and tools like PageSpeed Insights or Lighthouse
- Understanding of AI-driven development tools, including code generation and workflow automation (vibe coding)
- Knowledge of website maintenance processes and best practices
- Familiarity with SSL certificates and website security fundamentals
- Basic knowledge of DNS, hosting environments, and domain management
- Ability to conduct or support technical audits
- Understanding of plugin management and updates
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and ability to work in a team environment
Good to Have (Nice-to-Have Skills)
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages: PHP, JavaScript, or Python
- Familiarity with modern frameworks/libraries such as Next.js or Node.js
- Experience or exposure to FastAPI
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Basic understanding of SEO principles (technical SEO is a plus)
