Role Overview

An SAP ABAP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting SAP applications using ABAP programming. The role involves working closely with functional teams to deliver business solutions within SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SAP applications using ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming)
• Design and develop:
• Reports (ALV, Classical, Interactive)
• Interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs)
• Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework)
• Forms (SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms)
• Work on data dictionary objects (tables, views, structures, domains)
• Debug and troubleshoot existing SAP programs
• Collaborate with functional consultants (MM, SD, FI, etc.)
• Perform performance tuning and optimization
• Handle data migration using tools like LSMW or BDC
• Support SAP upgrades and implementations

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of ABAP programming concepts
• Experience with:
• ALV Reports
• Module Pool Programming
• Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP)
• Good understanding of SAP modules like:
• MM (Materials Management)
• SD (Sales & Distribution)
• FI (Financial Accounting)
• Knowledge of:
• IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs
• Enhancements & Forms
• Debugging and performance tuning skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA
• Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, and OData
• Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 is a plus
• Basic knowledge of workflows
