Key Responsibilities:
– Take care of the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
– Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
– Manage import/export financial transactions, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
– Collaborate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth import/export operations.
– Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
– Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic planning.
– Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with local and international regulations.
– Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for improvement.
– Assist with budgeting and financial planning activities.
– Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Minimum 8 of experience in accounting, with a focus on import/export operations.
– Strong understanding of international trade regulations and financial implications.
– Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
