AGM – Portfolio Generics, EMENA

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Portfolio and Pipeline:

• Evaluate new opportunities for addition into EMENA pipeline, track generic global developments and propose and evaluate suitable opportunities for financial assessment via business cases (BC).
• Be accountable for delivery of end to end Pre-PST process for EMENA Generics team.
• Deliver financial assessments for all new pipeline opportunities, completing BC’s including NPV, IRR, BreakEven ,SWOT analysis plus competitive intelligence before selecting pipeline proposals for Pre-PST.
• Ensure site capability, capacity, batch size and MOQ’s are considered as part of the BC.
• Identify and drive product differentiation and value-added products fitting either the generic segment or passing to speciality brands franchise where appropriate.
• Drive project milestones, define timelines and track progress of all generic pipeline products, including challenging others and identifying when delays threaten project timelines, execution and delivery.
• Work cross functionally to identify candidates for In-licensing (IL) KPI target list, evaluate IL portfolios, shortlist, finalize and prioritize appropriate opportunities.
• Exploit the current portfolio based on market dynamics across EMENA region.
• Manage Scopelist new addition opportunities including identifying global value and volume wherever required via Intas B2B, US, Emerging markets and speciality brands franchise proposals.
• Responsible for continuous process improvement in pipeline product deliverables across indications/therapy areas plus life cycle management via Make It Better and COGs improvement requests.
• Deliver clear BC insights and educational support to clusters leading to improved forecasting alongside appropriate BC challenge where necessary.
• Responsible for clearly defined project handover to NPL plus support on all stage gate related activities.
• Ensure systems are used, all trackers are updated correctly and all EMENA Portfolio team processes are followed, suggesting opportunities for continuous process improvement.
• Establish non-silo cross-functional working across full EMENA Portfolio team, assisting with ad-hoc requests and supporting Head of Portfolio EMENA to deliver world class Portfolio and Pipeline business.

Regulatory:

Deliver clear filing strategy for each new generic project ensuring all countries, strategy, strengths and pack sizes are highlighted and communicated effectively.

Ensure any updates to regulatory new filing budget are communicated correctly/within timescales to other stakeholders in EMENA Portfolio team, highlighting risks related to delays in submission.

R&D:

Drive project milestones, define timelines, track and report progress of all generic pipeline products.

Track, challenge and report when delays threaten project timelines, execution and delivery, utilizing RAG status for at risk projects and proposing solutions.

Guide project priorities and clarity on volumes, aligning R&D activities and EMENA commercial focus.

Support Biopharma team on device selection and finalization.

Cross Functional:

• Deliver clear strategy for each new generic project utilizing qualitative BC feedback from countries regarding market access, stability and packaging requirements.
• Ensure all generic BCs are updated if less than 12 months to filing submission.
• Manage alignment between internal/external IP teams, maintaining IP information on all pipeline products and proposing IP driven opportunities.
• Deliver risk mitigation strategy for Day 1 products (if required), working cross functionally with IP, Sourcing, RLD, R&D and RA teams.
• Work cross functionally with Supply Chain and Artwork teams to support related activities.
• Liaise with Intas B2B, US, Emerging markets and speciality brands franchise on categorization and presentation of pipeline, development sheet and annual submission.
• Manage annual delivery of R&D budget (via the R&D grid) and any Intas B2B or allocation budget plans.
• Support new verticals such as Animal Health and Plasma products.
• Work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders such as Forecasting/Market intelligence/Pricing & Market access/Market research/Medical teams and collate intelligence into easy to understand cohesive report/s .Deliver accurate completion of monthly EMENA Portfolio executive slides within agreed timescales.

Relevant Functional/Technical Skills or Industry Experience

• Substantial experience of 5 years + in EU and/or Global Pharmaceutical markets (ideally generics).
• A track record of accomplishments in Portfolio alongside Sales, Marketing or Launch Management at an operational and strategic level.
• Demonstrable evidence of project management including project lifecycle and requirements analysis.
• Ability to work in a multi-site, highly regulated and pressurized environment with colleagues at all levels.
• Excellent numerical skills with strong excel ability including multi source data consolidation, assessment, reporting and analytics.
• Strong written/oral communication skills with excellent PowerPoint ability and impactful presentation skills.
