Job Description:

Purpose of Position

1. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for site-level quality monitoring, assurance and compliance across multiple civil works. The role involves stage-wise quality checks, witnessing tests, reviewing documentation and ensuring that all works comply with client specifications, SOPs and approved drawings.

  • The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.
  • Major Responsibilities

  • Supervise and conduct laboratory and field tests as per IS codes/standards.
  • Lead and oversee quality control activities for concrete, fine aggregate, and coarse aggregate.
  • Monitor batching plant operations, ensuring compliance with approved mix design and workability requirements.
  • Review and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) of all civil construction materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of all test results, ensuring traceability and compliance with client/contract specifications.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality performance, test outcomes, and any deviations/non-conformances.
  • Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and project management teams on quality-related matters.
  • Mentor and guide junior quality engineers and technicians in testing procedures and documentation practices.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive measures for quality issues identified during construction activities.

  • Qualification, Experience & Technical Knowledge

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum experience of 6 years.
  • Skills & Qualities:

  • In-depth knowledge of IS codes and international standards related to construction materials testing.
  • Expertise in concrete technology, mix design verification, and aggregate testing.
  • Strong understanding of batching plant operations and quality compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in reviewing Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and ensuring traceability.
  • Competence in preparing technical reports, NCRs, and corrective action plans.
  • Good command over MS Office and quality documentation systems.
  • Proactive problem-solving and communication have good communication skills.
  • Should be able to communicate in Hindi, English, Telugu
