What Youll Be Doing (Position Summary):

The Senior Processor, FinancialTransactions,is responsible forthe verification, understanding, and execution of business client financial transaction requests. This role ensuresaccurateandtimelyprocessing of transactions while delivering a high standard of service and upholding compliance with internal controls and procedures. The position directly supports CIBCs operational excellence and client satisfactionobjectiveswithin the Business Client Centre.

How Youll Succeed (Responsibilities):

  • Interpret and review all client financial transaction instructions for completeness and accuracy, including cheque certification, bank drafts, cash orders, wire transfers, and account transfers.
  • Liaise with internal partners to clarify instructions, obtainadditionalinformation, and verbally confirm transfer requests to prevent fraud.
  • Execute verification and validation processes for cheque clearing and wire payments, escalating anomalies asrequired.
  • Validate client signatures and review resolutions using various systems.
  • Interface with clients and business partnersregardingfinancial transactions, including foreign exchange rate bookings.
  • Process Canadian and foreign currency transfer requests using COINS, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
  • Update Client Connect with detailed information on client requests and resolutions.
  • Identifyand recommend routine improvements to operational efficiency andadvisemanagement on process enhancements.
  • Coordinate and support team members,maintainingstrong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines, and controls.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience

Who You Are (Skills / Qualifications):

Must Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial transaction processing or banking operations.
  • Proficiencyin English (written and verbal).
  • Advanced knowledge of operational processes and tools.
  • Extensive customer service experience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in PC software, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships.
