Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in testing of Salesforce applications. The candidate should have a solid understanding of Salesforce functionality across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Revenue Cloud, CPQ and custom modules, with the ability to design, execute, and manage comprehensive test cycles.

This role involves reviewing project documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and Solution Design Documents (SDD) to ensure that all functionalities are thoroughly tested against client expectations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of leading testing activities independently.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze client requirements, review FRS, BRD, and SDD documents to understand scope and functionality.

Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases for Salesforce applications, including custom objects, workflows, and business processes.

Conduct functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance (UAT) testing across Salesforce environments.

Validate Salesforce configurations, data flows, validation rules, triggers, and reports.

Ensure all test deliverables (test cases, test plans, defect logs, test summary reports) are well-documented and traceable to requirements.

Log and track defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools, ensuring timely resolution.

Participate in stand-ups, sprint meetings, requirement walkthroughs, design reviews, and release readiness sessions.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers to clarify requirements and test coverage.

Support UAT coordination and ensure client-reported issues are verified and closed.

Contribute to QA process improvements and mentor junior QA engineers.

Exposure to test automation tools such as Provar or Selenium for regression suite enhancement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 4–5 years in software testing, with at least 3 years in Salesforce application testing.

Testing Expertise: Strong manual testing experience covering functional, regression, and integration testing.

Documentation Skills: Experience reviewing BRD, FRS, and SDD documents and translating them into test scenarios.

Tools Knowledge: Jira, Zephyr, or other defect/test management tools.

Salesforce Understanding: Knowledge of standard objects (Leads, Opportunities, Cases, etc.), Lightning components, page layouts, and workflows.

SDLC/STLC Knowledge: Deep understanding of QA methodologies and lifecycle processes.

Communication: Strong analytical and written communication skills for requirement traceability and reporting.

Certifications: Salesforce Admin, ISTQB, or QA-related certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
