About the Role
Lovely Professional University (LPU) is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead and strengthen its Placement & Corporate Relations function. The role involves building strategic industry partnerships, enhancing student employability, and driving campus recruitment initiatives at national and international levels.
The ideal candidate should have extensive corporate networking experience, proven leadership skills, and a strong background in university placements or corporate talent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Relations & Industry Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with top corporates across sectors.
- Identify and onboard new recruiters for campus hiring.
- Establish strategic partnerships for internships, live projects, and industry collaborations.
- Represent the university at corporate forums, industry events, and networking platforms.
Campus Placements & Recruitment Strategy
- Lead end-to-end campus recruitment processes.
- Design and implement placement strategies to achieve high placement ratios.
- Coordinate with academic departments to align curriculum with industry requirements.
- Monitor placement statistics and ensure continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead and mentor the placement team.
- Set annual targets and KPIs for corporate outreach and student placements.
- Oversee pre-placement training initiatives including aptitude, soft skills, and interview preparation.
- Ensure seamless execution of campus drives (virtual & on-campus).
Employer Branding & Outreach
- Strengthen LPU’s brand positioning among recruiters.
- Develop corporate communication materials and placement reports.
- Promote success stories and industry engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
- 12–25 years of experience in:
- University placements
- Corporate HR / Talent Acquisition
- Business Development / Corporate Relations
- Strong corporate network across multiple industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with leadership and execution capabilities.
Preferred Background
- Experience in higher education institutions of national repute.
- Exposure to large-scale campus recruitment drives.
- Strong understanding of emerging industry hiring trends.
