What Youll Be Doing (Position Summary):

TheSeniorLearning Advisor, reporting to Director,Learning Advisory,is accountableforbuildingstrong relationshipswith businessleaders and HR business partnersin the designated SBU(CIBC India), consulton talent needs,understandlearningtrendsandanalyzemetricstoenable learning every day and drivebusiness results.Working closely withbusinessleaders,thisrole willsupport the development andimplementation ofacomprehensive learningplanin alignment with CIBCs Learning Strategy andthe SBUsstrategic priorities.

How Youll Succeed (Responsibilities):

  • UnderstandCIBC Indiascurrentand emerging business needs,prioritiesandmarket trendsin order toact withinthe business context.
  • Build strong relationshipswith business leaders to ensurethat the learning is deployed for priority business initiatives and to build capability for the future.
  • Conduct needs assessmentstoidentifycriticalcapability gaps anddeterminelearning requirements aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Developand curatelearning paths tobuildcapabilitieswith existing learning solutions.
  • Build and co-ownannualormulti-year learningplanswith the businessalignedtoCIBC and SBU strategies, ensuringa balance of experience, exposure, and education.
  • Supportand guidethe delivery of learningsolutionsfor SBU.
  • Buildsponsorengagementandcommitmentfor key learning initiatives.
  • Influencekey stakeholderstointegrate learning solutions intochange managementplansto sustainnew / enhanced capabilities.
  • Measureandmonitorthe effectiveness and alignment of programs to ensure they are meetingtheidentifiedsuccess criteria,e.g.business performance,financial outcomes.
  • Negotiate and manage timelines, conflicting priorities and resources to ensure the learningobjectivesof theSBUare met.
  • Support the execution of the CIBC Learning Strategybyidentifyingand championing newlearning approaches and techniques.
  • Establish strong internal relationships withtheContent Creationteamto ensure that business partners needs are fulfilled effectively and efficiently.
  • Connect with a community of industry counterparts to gain exposure tolearning best practices and trends in themarket.
  • Cultivate a strong culture of coaching to high performance focused on ongoing development that is anchored in our purpose, leadership mindset and learning agility to help advance CIBCs strategy and transformation.

Experience: 10+ years of experience

Who You Are (Skills / Qualifications):

Must Have Skills:

  • Provenexpertisein relationship management capabilities.
  • Experienceinconsulting with business unit leaders.
  • Experience in developing SBU-specific multi-year learningplans.
  • Experience inidentifyingcapability needs andcreating learning paths.
  • Experience in designing and delivering learning is an asset.
  • Strong influencing,communicationand presentationskills.
  • Well-developed judgement, problem solving, and ability to interpret / adapt learning solutions or approaches when formulating responses to training issues or concerns.
  • Well-developed impact, and influence skillsin order toobtain buy-in or when promoting new / modified learning and wellness programs.
  • Strong leadership anddemonstratedability to be an effective team player when leading or addressing projects / initiatives for assigned client groups.
  • Ability to work closely with a wide and diverse range of groups and functional disciplines toidentifyand implement training innovations tailored to business needs.
  • Proven ability to effectively present information, conveying factual and conceptual elements in business strategy discussions concerning the delivery of integrated learning solutions.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
