About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate Database Administrator – IBM DB2 (Mainframe). If you love building cutting-edge desktop applications that seamlessly integrate web technologies with native functionalities, this role is for you! You’ll work on exciting projects that blend performance, usability, and innovation.

Primary skill set: Database: IBM DB2 Z/OS (Mainframe),

Query Language: SQL

Tools: DB2 Command Line Processor (CLP), Catalogue Manager

Responsibilities:

• Managing DB2 objects (creation, alteration, deletion) and performing space checks.

• Handling incidents (contention, space/thread issues, job abends, JCL/SQL errors) and resolving failures.

• Scheduling and executing maintenance tasks including Reorg, Image copy, Runstat, backup, recovery, and data refresh.

• Ensuring DB2 subsystem availability and optimal performance for application access.

• Query optimization, performance tuning for efficient DB2 operations and Basic migration activities.

• DB2 management using tools like IBM, Platinum & BMC Tools.

• Report generation using Power BI and weekly status reporting. • Managing tickets via tools, phone, and email.
