The Assistant Restaurant Manager at The Bombay Canteen is required to have a proven background in Food and Beverage with demonstrated ability proven in Guest Service to ensure the characteristic dining experience is always maintained. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Supervise the team in all aspects of the restaurant and ensure service standards are followed
Through active floor management, drive the service vision within the restaurant resulting in outstanding guest service results
Participate in ordering, inventory, storage and monitor usage of supplies
Ensure Table and cover management are accurately tracked and reported
Monitor revenue stream to ensure accurate billing, collection and reporting
Motivate colleague engagement at all times
Conduct colleague briefings and mini training sessions
Advise all colleagues of established standards and procedures set out by the hotel and the department
Focus on the details of service as prescribed and ensure colleagues are executing
Ensure performance management principles are followed at all times
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous Food and Beverage leadership experience required min 4-5 years
- Previous Point of Sale system experience required
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guests, while remaining calm and polite
