Job Accountabilities

To ensure maximization of Asset ( GTG, WHRU & other Utilities  ) Availability, Reliability and Integrity by effective implementation of business processes and procedures through effective monitoring of proactive maintenance programmes. To minimize outages with appropriate risk mitigation and trouble   shooting. 

Continual Improvement of the Asset Management Strategies and optimizing the Maintenance Programs (PM, PdM, RCM and Minor/Major Overhauls) including effective application of various machinery condition monitoring tools and techniques.

Job Accountabilities

  • Ensure trouble shooting, maintenance and overhauling of GTG, WHRU & all Utilities equipment.
  • Monitoring and ensuring equipment health through effective protective   functions.
  • Review and advise change management (alarms & trips) with proper risk analysis keeping business objectives in mind.
  • Initiate planning and scheduling estimate for equipment   overhauling.
  • Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for critical reliability   issues.
  • Ensure consistent implementation and execution of maintenance programmes across   plant.
  • Provide inputs for improvements in business processes, specifications and best   practices.
  • Identify , initiate & plan spares , consumables. Ensure insurance spares availability and usability.
  •  Prepare SMP#s, SOP#s, Task List, Frequency & improve the maintenance effectiveness.
  •  Prepare / Review critical machine/components repair and inspection   plans.
  • Assume responsibility of overhauling of critical equipment in terms of quality and   execution.
  • Ensure collection and implementation of lessons learned from other   sites.
  • Implement Reliability improvement measures.
  • Prepare and implement budget proposals for  the assigned Area .
  • Governance of  the department including system and procedure compliance   audits.
  • Ensure achievement of department objectives.
  • Prepare and implement development plans for all equipment / team members.
  • Adopt and implement safe maintenance practices as per HSE MS
  • Assist Prepares JHA Prepare HITRA
  • Identify hazards and update HIRA register
  • Identify aspect and impact issues and prepare register with periodical updates
  • Ensure implementation of Permit to Work systems
  • Ensure & assist Waste Segregation & Disposal as per waste management plan
  • Provide/facilitate training in areas of expertise for talent   development.
  • Ensure effective implementation of OMS.
  • Ensure equipment LLF & history in SAP.
  • Identify, implement & monitor PSPI/KPI.
  • Carry out RCA of failure and implement the recommendations
  • Carry out study of VAR

Maintenance skills about plant Equipment

Knowledge of Reliability Priniciples  

Knowledge of condition monitoring

Knowledge of SAP PM & MM Module

Troubleshooting Skills

Good Interpersonal Skills

Education Required

BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering 

Experience Required

6 Years of experience in Oil & Gas RefineryFertilizersPetro chemicals 

  • Hands on experience in rotating equipment / plant equipment trouble shooting, maintenance and condition    monitoring.
  • Hands on experience in rotating equipment erection and   commissioning.

Engineering knowledge with regards to equipment selection, manufacturing and testing is an added advantage.
