Shift 2 – Australian, 3.30 AM to 1 PM (3 Openings)

Role Description

We are looking for a skilled Windows Server & Hosting Support Engineer to join our cloud hosting operations team. The ideal candidate will manage, support, and troubleshoot Windows-based environments used for QuickBooks (QB) hosting, TR hosting, and other application hosting workloads. You will work directly with clients, resolve technical issues, maintain server health, and ensure a secure, stable, and high-performance hosting environment.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Server & Infrastructure

  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments.
  • Configure and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user/session management.
  • Administer and optimize Remote Desktop Services (RDS) multi-user environments.
  • Perform server hardening, updates, and ongoing system performance monitoring.
  • Manage file permissions, shares, profiles, and storage allocations.

Hosting Support (QB/TR/Application Hosting)

  • Provide application hosting support for QuickBooks Desktop and Thomson Reuters software in a multi-tenant environment.
  • Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot hosted applications.
  • Handle user access issues, session problems, printing issues, mapping drives, and performance complaints.
  • Coordinate with application vendors when needed for escalated issues.

Client Support

  • Serve as a primary technical contact for hosting clients (L1/L2).
  • Troubleshoot remote user connectivity issues including RDP/SSL/VPN.
  • Provide timely and professional communication across email, tickets, and calls.
  • Assist with user onboarding, environment setup, and migration tasks.

Cloud Hosting & Operations

  • Monitor system health, uptime, CPU/RAM usage, and resource allocation.
  • Assist in provisioning new servers, scaling resources, and maintaining high availability.
  • Participate in backup verification, disaster recovery testing, and security compliance routines.
  • Document environment changes, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
