Overview
PhysicsWallah (PW) is seeking highly skilled and experienced professionals from the Healthcare Industry to join our PW IOI School of Healthcare as Guest Faculty / Hourly Teaching Consultants.
The selected candidates will provide instructional leadership at the classroom, laboratory, and campus level for undergraduate students from Allied Healthcare programs (RMIT & OTT).
The role also involves mentoring faculty, contributing to curriculum and content development, and working closely with the Academic Director and Head of Academics – School of Healthcare (SOH).
Key Areas of Responsibility
Instructional Leadership
- Demonstrate instructional expertise and coaching skills to enhance classroom practices aligned with curriculum standards.
- Support students and faculty in achieving academic excellence.
Professional Development
- Develop, facilitate, and evaluate professional development initiatives aligned with institutional goals.
- Supervise lesson planning and syllabus implementation as per university standards.
- Adopt research-based teaching strategies and learning resources.
Content Development
- Develop, validate, and review academic content (PPTs, notes, and learning material) in coordination with the content team.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare, evaluate, and interpret student assessments.
- Ensure academic rigor and fair evaluation practices.
- Mentor new faculty members and re-deliver key academic and training inputs.
- Represent the institution at academic forums and conferences, when required.
- Collaborate with management and teaching staff to implement academic goals.
- Provide structured feedback to Program Heads and Executive Directors on academic and coaching requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct offline, live, and recorded classroom sessions as per the timetable on a need-based, hourly basis.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus aligned with University and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate deep subject matter expertise, including current research, methodologies, tools, and clinical applications.
- Maintain accurate academic records including attendance, assessments, and final grades.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of student information and comply with academic governance norms.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Required Qualifications:
- MS General Surgery
- MS Orthopedics
- MSc Operation Theatre Technology (OTT)
- MSc Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (AOT)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–4 years of teaching experience in healthcare or allied health education.
Desirable Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and senior stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare education frameworks, curriculum design, and assessment methodologies.
- Experience in healthcare quality standards, policy development, and implementation.
- Proven ability to lead academic initiatives in complex environments.
