Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary cancer care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the surgical management of benign and malignant tumors, providing comprehensive oncologic care, and collaborating closely with medical and radiation oncology teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and surgically manage patients with solid tumors and cancer-related conditions.
  • Perform elective and emergency oncologic surgeries following evidence-based protocols.
  • Conduct tumor resections involving organs such as breast, gastrointestinal tract, hepatobiliary system, pancreas, head and neck, soft tissues, and other affected sites.
  • Perform procedures including mastectomy, lumpectomy, cytoreductive surgery, lymph node dissection, and complex oncologic resections.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and contribute to treatment planning.
  • Provide pre-operative evaluation and develop individualized surgical plans.
  • Ensure comprehensive post-operative care and long-term follow-up.
  • Manage surgical complications and oncologic emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Engage in clinical research, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives where applicable.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery.
  • MCh/DNB in Surgical Oncology (or equivalent recognized super‑specialty qualification).
  • Valid medical license to practice.
  • Board certification preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of post‑super‑specialty experience in oncologic surgery.
