Job Title: Head – Equity Fund Raising (BESS / Solar / Wind)
Location: Ahmedabad / Mumbai
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a mid-to-senior level professional with 10-15 years of exclusive experience in pure equity fund raising to support equity capital raising for a private renewable energy platform with assets across Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar, and Wind. The role will focus on raising platform-level and project-level equity from climate-focused funds, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, strategic energy investors, family offices, and infrastructure PE funds, working closely with the CFO, Board and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
– Execute end-to-end equity fund raising for BESS, solar, and wind platforms, including growth equity and strategic investments.– Drive investor outreach to infrastructure PE funds, climate funds, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and strategic investors.– Prepare and manage pitch decks, information memorandums, financial models, and data rooms.– Support and lead valuation discussions, term sheet negotiations, and transaction closures under the guidance of the CFO.– Provide inputs on capital structure, valuation benchmarks, equity dilution, and fund-raise strategy.– Coordinate with legal, tax, technical, and regulatory advisors to ensure timely deal execution.– Support investor meetings, roadshows, and ongoing investor relationship management.
Candidate Profile:
Experience:
– 10-15 years of hands-on experience in pure equity fund raising (mandatory).– Proven track record of successfully closed equity transactions.– Prior experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or power sectors, with exposure to BESS, solar, wind, or hybrid platforms.– Familiarity with IPP models, SPV structures, and platform-level equity investments.– Strong investor interface experience with climate-focused investors, family offices and infra-PE.
Education (Mandatory):
– B.Tech. + MBA (Tier-1 B-School), OR– MBA + CFA, OR– CA + CFA
Key Skills:
– Strong understanding of equity fund raising, valuation, and deal structuring.– Working knowledge of renewable energy business models and project economics.– Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.– Ability to independently manage transactions with high attention to detail.– High integrity, professionalism, and execution orientation.
