- FOR RETAIL MERCHANDISING
- Plan product ranges: Work with buyers to plan product ranges and stock requirements
- Manage inventory: Track stock deliveries, control stock levels, and manage supply and production issues
- Set prices and promotions: Set prices and sales targets, and promote special offers
- Analyze trends: Monitor trends and competitors, and gather customer feedback
- Display products: Arrange products by category and use mannequins to showcase outfits
- Create layouts: Create layout plans for stores, and work with visual display staff to maximize sales
- Forecast sales: Forecast sales and profit margins, and present sales forecasts to senior managers
- Negotiate with suppliers: Negotiate quantities and delivery timescales, and secure favorable prices and terms
