Backup Administrator

We have an opportunity for Backup Administration

Location : Bhubaneswar / Delhi / Guwahati

Experience : 6+ Years of Experience in CommVault and Cloud backup solutions

Preferred Skills:

1. Hands on working experience with Backup software like CommVault, NetBackup, Veeam etc.
2. Proficient with Linux OS.
3. Primary Troubleshooting of the backup or restoration failure issues.
4. Good understanding on Cloud backup technologies like (GCP /Azure / AWS)
5. Must have worked on backup hardware like (physical / Virtual Tape Library (VTL), disk-based backups, understanding to take backup via SAN, NAS and other mediums.
6. Closely monitor the Backup jobs and dashboard to track the real time backup failures.
7. Proficient in Incident Management, Performance Analysis, Root Cause Analysis and Alert Analysis.
8. Perform restoration as per the request after validating proper approvals and follow the ITSM formalities.
9. Timely escalate the issues which are not resolved or seek the required assistance from the next level.
10. Installations / Upgrade / Configurations of new backup clients.
11. Periodic housekeeping and logs clean-up for hassle free backup operations and vulnerability closures.
12. Configure and maintain backup policies, tape drives, Catalogue Backup, Reports and backup trend analysis and basic forecasting.

Good to have additional Skills

1. Work independently with little supervision on day-to-day tasks,
2. Work diligently while receiving general instructions on new assignments or any upgrade etc.
3. Ability to handle multi-tasking, prioritization and meet deadline with a flexible outlook and attitude.
4. Experience with enterprise level tool sets related to monitoring and analytics.
5. Any technology / Cloud related industry standard certification.
6. Shell scripting, automation and tool implementations
7. Excellent team player.
