Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Operation Theater Technician for a mid-level, full-time position located in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have between 4 to 6 years of work experience in the healthcare field. The position requires expertise in overseeing the technical operations within our operating theaters.

Qualifications and Skills

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in surgical instrumentation proficiency (Mandatory skill).
  • Experienced in the preparation and arrangement of operating rooms to ensure readiness for surgeries (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficient in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure all devices function smoothly during procedures (Mandatory skill).
  • Expertise in sterilization techniques to guarantee a sterile environment within the operating theater.
  • Skilled in patient positioning ensuring safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Understanding and applying aseptic techniques to prevent infections and maintain a sterile field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various surgical procedures to assist healthcare professionals effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate efficiently with the healthcare team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment and equipment before, during, and after surgeries.
  • Assist surgical teams during operations by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and cleanliness of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain all operating room equipment functionality, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
  • Support surgeons and other healthcare professionals by providing precise instrumentation and tools during procedures.
  • Assist in positioning patients correctly to facilitate safe surgical access and optimal outcomes.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including sterilization protocols within the operating theater.
  • Participate in continuous learning and development initiatives to stay updated with the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
