Key Objective
The role entails providing end to end support for desktop operations and system
center configuration manager Current Branch for application deployment and
patching windows 10 and Windows 11 platforms.

Hours of Work The hours of work for this role as shown below (all times are UK time)
Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00 or 09.00 – 18.00 for the completion of full
support work
NB UK time is either 4.5 or 5.5 hours behind IST and varies with the use of daylight
saving time during the summer months.
The Desktop Services team is responsible for managing and securing endpoint
devices across the organization using Microsoft Intune. Their core duties include
deploying and provisioning devices via Autopilot, enforcing compliance and
configuration policies, and managing both corporate and BYOD devices through
MDM. They ensure seamless application deployment across Windows, iOS, and
Android platforms, troubleshoot OS and enrolment issues, and maintain device
health through proactive monitoring and reporting. The team also leverages
PowerShell scripting for automation, supports OS upgrades, and maintains
comprehensive documentation including SOPs and knowledge base articles to
ensure consistent and efficient operations.
The team’s responsibility extends to users around the world.
Skill Set Required:
Primary Skills:
Extensive experience in Microsoft Intune administration, including
Autopilot deployments, device provisioning, and application deployments.
Strong expertise in creating and troubleshooting Configuration Profiles,
Compliance Policies, App Protection Policies, and App Configuration
Policies.
Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) for both
DEP (corporate-owned) and BYOD (personally owned) devices, ensuring
secure and seamless enrolment.
Proficient in managing Windows 10/11 devices through Intune, including
OS updates, policy enforcement, and security baselines.
Capable of creating and deploying Win32 and Line-of-Business (LOB)
applications to Windows endpoints.
Familiar with deploying VPP and private applications to iOS and Android

devices.
Skilled in reviewing logs and diagnosing issues related to Autopilot failures,
application deployment errors, and general enrolment challenges.
Ability to monitor tenant health, generate compliance and operational
reports, and interpret insights for proactive issue resolution.
Experience in creating and using PowerShell/Remediation scripts for
automation and device management tasks.
Troubleshooting OS deployment issues and performing Windows 10/11 OS
upgrades.
Strong documentation skills, including drafting Knowledge Base (KB)
articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for technical and
operational tasks.
