Optometrist

We are  looking for Optometrist to join our dynamic teamKey Responsibilities : 

• Perform thorough eye exams to assess visual acuity, evaluate eye health, and detect eye diseases/abnormalities using diagnostic tools (visual acuity tests, refraction tests, tonometry, slit-lamp, etc.).
• Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses for refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism) based on individual needs.
• Diagnose and manage conditions like dry eye, conjunctivitis, glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. Provide treatment, prescribe medications, or refer patients to ophthalmologists if required.
• Help manage coordination issues, focusing difficulties, and binocular vision disorders through vision therapy or other interventions.
• Provide evaluations before and after surgeries (cataract, LASIK, refractive), monitor healing, manage complications, and ensure positive outcomes.
• Conduct eye exams for infants, children, and teenagers; diagnose/manage pediatric conditions like amblyopia and strabismus; guide visual development and eyewear use.
• Work with ophthalmologists, primary care doctors, and opticians for comprehensive patient care and specialized treatments.
• Educate patients on eye care, hygiene, preventive measures, eyewear care, and lifestyle habits to protect vision.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
• Completion of four years of postgraduate study after a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools, eye diseases, corrective lenses, and treatment procedures.
• Ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care.
• Good communication skills for patient education and counseling.
