About this team:

The architecture group at lululemon is responsible for guiding the design and implementation of technical strategies that support every aspect of our rapidly scaling global business. You will work in a matrixed environment alongside peers in business, engineering, program, ux and strategy among other disciplines to collaboratively develop and deliver industry leading technology solutions aligned to business goals and objectives. In addition to your primary team, project, or portfolio you will be supported by a diverse Architecture Community of Practice, which provides learning and governance resources to all architects and will help you build a strong and robust practice of leadership grounded in technical proficiency, innovative thinking and empathy.

Core Responsibilities:

As a Senior Architect you support delivery teams in the development of detailed solution roadmaps for a well-defined set of capabilities or logical group of systems, services or projects. You partner closely with engineers and project management to ensure that implementation meets design expectations. You are proactive in reaching out to architects and leaders in teams with which your technology integrates and you drive results through strong cross-functional collaboration. You serve as the organizations subject matter expert for capabilities in your portfolio and work actively within the Architecture Community of Practice.

  • In partnership with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Owners, Engineers and other Architects, you provide leadership in defining project requirements and success criteria along with guiding the design throughout the development lifecycle
  • Participate and present at architecture design reviews
  • Proactively align with key stakeholders, seek organizational context and apply learnings to architecture solutions; be comfortable supporting and communicating with diverse technical and business teams
  • Evaluate, document, and escalate alterations to future state architectures
  • Communicates trade-offs in different types of engineering and architecture processes and adjust your teams process to meet the needs of the project and others on the team
  • Contribute to the growth and strength of the architecture community of practice by actively attending and presenting at community events

Qualifications:

  • BS / BA in technology related discipline or relevant industry experience
  • 8 12 years of experience
  • Relevant industry experience is preferred, with prior experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses.
  • PL/SQL, SQL, OCI, RMS Application functional Knowledge,
  • Familiarity with integrating and solutioning in RMS SaaS version, Unix Shell scripting, Devops Tools, microservices and API knowledge.
  • Good to Have: Java, Proc, Oracle Apex, MFCS POM,
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Oracle Retail Merchandising & MFCS Functional Capabilities
  • Strong understanding of retail merchandising workflows: item setup, cost management, price planning, hierarchies (department/class/subclass), fiscal calendars, and financial controls.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning Cloud Service (MFCS), including its data model, business rules, allocation logic, and integration points with other Oracle Retail Cloud modules (e.g., RMS Cloud, RDM, RPM, RIB).
  • Retail Business Process Expertise (Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment, Replenishment)
  • Demonstrated experience in retail financial planning processes: open-to-buy (OTB), margin management, gross margin ROI, initial markup (IMU), markdown planning.
  • Ability to map complex retail business requirements (e.g., multi-channel financial controls, vendor allowances, costing scenarios) into MFCS capabilities.
  • Integration & Data Architecture for Oracle Retail Cloud Suite
  • Proficiency in designing integrations between MFCS and other Oracle Retail Cloud Services (e.g., Retail Data Model (RDM), Retail Integration Bus (RIB), Retail Predictive Application Server (RPAS) cloud equivalents).
  • Experience with REST APIs, OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud), and data migration strategies for retail master and transactional data (items, vendors, stores, financial plans).
  • Solution Architecture & Cloud Deployment Best Practices for Oracle Retail SaaS
  • Ability to design scalable, secure, and compliant retail-specific cloud architectures within Oracles SaaS constraints.
  • Understanding of Oracle Retail Cloud deployment models, extensibility options (limited customization in SaaS), upgrade implications, and configuration-led design.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) basics and retail data governance (e.g., handling sensitive financial/plan data).
