Location: Khed Shivapur, Pune (Transport available from Shivane)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Controls Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and commissioning of control systems for advanced Friction Welding machines. This role is ideal for a technically curious engineer eager to learn industrial automation, PLCs, and LabVIEW under senior engineer mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and understand friction welding processes and machine functionality
• Assist in LabVIEW screen design and basic control logic development
• Support PLC programming (minor modifications and logic blocks)
• Participate in software testing, debugging, and machine prove-out activities
• Assist during machine commissioning, FAT, and on-site support
• Help maintain control documentation, test reports, and parameter sheets
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, application, and assembly teams
• Follow safety standards, coding practices, and CE guidelines

Required Skills

Must Have:

• Basic PLC knowledge (TIA Portal preferred)
• Exposure to LabVIEW
• Understanding of electrical circuits and automation components
• Knowledge of logic gates and flowchart preparation

Good to Have:

• Awareness of Safety PLC concepts & CE requirements
• Basic understanding of drives and parameters
• Introductory knowledge of SQL databases

Education & Experience

• BE/BTech in Electronics or E&TC Engineering
• 1–3 years of relevant experience (machine tool experience preferred)
• Comfortable working at Khed Shivapur (412205)
• Open to on-site work and travel
