What Youll Be Doing (position summary):
TheSr. Consultant, Operations Transition India supports the execution of transition plans for the Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad. This roleis responsible forcoordinating transition activities, managing operational risks, and ensuring smooth migration of services under the guidance of the Transition Lead. TheSr. Consultantworks closely with cross-functional teams tofacilitatechange management,maintainhigh standardsof documentation, and uphold CIBCs policies and procedures throughout the transition lifecycle.

How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):
Experience: 8+ years of experience
- Coordinate andmonitorday-to-day transition activities for GCC projects, ensuringtimelydelivery and adherence to project plans
- Identify, track, and report risks and issues, escalating as needed to the Transition Lead
- Support change management initiatives, including communication and training for impacted teams
- Maintainaccuratetransition documentation and prepare regular status updates for leadership
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and functional teams (Risk, HR, Finance, Compliance, Tax) tofacilitateseamless migration
- Ensure compliance with CIBC standards, policies, and regulatory requirements during all transition activities
- Assistin resource scheduling and allocation to support transition objectives
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Who You Are (skills/qualifications):
Must Have Skills:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, operations management, or a related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial services operations, withdemonstratedexpertisein coordinating transition or transformation initiatives
- Solid understanding of business processes, operational risk management, and project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile)
- Demonstrated ability to support and implement change initiatives, working effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to strategic planning and develop practical solutions
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with experience collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups
- Proficiencyin documentation, reporting, and supporting process optimization to enable consistent, high-quality transitions
- Digital mindset and adaptability to hybrid work environments, including use of collaboration and project management tools
