Role OverviewThis role is ideal for someone who:1. Can lead the development of our WordPress & WooCommerce product suite as a senior engineer who thinks beyond code2. You will work closely with Development, Product, QA, and Customer Success teams to build, improve, and support FunnelKit’s core products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plugin Development & Product Feature DevelopmentBuild and maintain WordPress plugins to extend site functionality and improve user experienceOwn architecture decisions for complex features across multiple productsWork with the Product team to convert requirements into high-quality codeBuild custom solutions based on real customer use casesEnsure all features are properly tested and documented before releaseMentor mid-level and junior developers through code reviews and pairingLead initiatives that improve developer productivity and code qualityThink creatively about technical challenges—finding innovative solutionsDrive technical standards and best practices for the team
2. WooCommerce Integration & WordPress HooksDevelop custom solutions and features specifically for WooCommerce stores using WordPress hooks.Utilize deep knowledge of WordPress hooks (actions & filters) to extend core functionality and integrate with other plugins.
3. Troubleshooting & Release StabilityMonitor product behavior after updates and releasesDebug complex cross-system issues and performance bottlenecksEnsure smooth upgrades and backward compatibilityPerform root-cause analysis to prevent repeat issuesResolve issues related to plugin conflicts, performance, and compatibility with WordPress and WooCommerce.
4. Product Improvement & AnalysisDesign scalable solutions that work across our product ecosystemAnalyze L2 support tickets to identify patterns and gapsCollaborate with Product and Engineering teams to implement improvements and evaluate technical feasibility and trade-offs
5. Git & Code ManagementManage code using Git (commits, merges, releases)Maintain clean, scalable, and secure codebasesFollow WordPress and WooCommerce best practicesConduct regular code reviews
