Data Readiness Development

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Development:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy complex ETL jobs using SAP Data Services, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Actively participating in Data Quality standards
• Support the Data Readiness Analysts in the development of reporting in SAP HANA to assist with data validation efforts during migration.
• Implement advanced data transformation logic, including lookups, joins, aggregations, and data quality rules.
• Administer and support multiple SAP BODS environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD), including configuration of system parameters, memory, and job server settings to ensure optimal performance and stability.
• Manage environment refreshes and repository migrations while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness in line with enterprise standards.
• Develop data migration jobs using IDocs, BAPIs, LSMW, LTMC, and Migration Cockpit methodologies.
• Select and define migration tools (SAP Data Services, LTMC, Migration Cockpit, SLT, custom ABAP programs).
• Collaborate with Data Readiness Analysts and functional teams to understand source-to-target mappings and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Develop reusable components and frameworks to accelerate future migration efforts and improve consistency across projects.
• Conduct peer code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices.
• Ensure all development work is thoroughly documented and adheres to ADMs data governance and compliance policies.

Team Leadership & People Management:

• Directly manage a small team of junior developers, including performance reviews, goal setting, and career development.
• Provide technical mentorship and day-to-day guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with project timelines and standards.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.

Project Execution:

• Lead the execution of data load cycles, including Tech Loads, Mock Loads, Dress Rehearsals, and Production Loads, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to validate data and resolve transformation or load issues quickly and effectively.
• Monitor job performance and troubleshoot failures or bottlenecks in real time, implementing fixes and optimizations as needed.
• Maintain detailed status tracking and reporting for assigned workstreams, escalating risks or blockers proactively.
• Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and resource estimates for data migration activities.
• Support post-load validation and reconciliation efforts to ensure data integrity and business readiness.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Data Services and ETL development.
• Strong experience with SQL and working with SAP HANA databases.
• Familiarity with SAP S4HANA data structures and migration processes.
• Experience managing or leading technical teams, including performance management and task coordination.
• Experience with SAP HANA and calculation views (preferred).
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems (S/4HANA) and core data structures.
• Good to have knowledge on Information Steward.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
