A Snapshot of Your Day

As an IT Business Partner, you will act as the key connector between business, engineering teams, and global IT functions for the TI EAD Engineering Center in Bangalore. Your day will involve defining, coordinating, and implementing global IT initiatives while ensuring that the site’s IT landscape aligns with Siemens Energy’s overall strategy. You will combine strong technical understanding with business insight to guide digitalization initiatives, support infrastructure and application reliability, and ensure governance, compliance, and security across the site. Working closely with global stakeholders and local teams, you will shape IT roadmaps, support modernization initiatives, and ensure that IT services continuously deliver measurable business value.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Act as a trusted advisor and connector between business, end users, and all IT functions.
  • Advocate for business priorities by leveraging deep understanding of site needs to guide effective IT decisions that improve performance.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of IT services and that applications and infrastructure supporting the site operate reliably.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to use IT solutions to optimize business processes and drive value.
  • Collaborate with site representatives to identify, define, and deliver site-specific IT requirements.
  • Take responsibility for end-to-end IT projects, applications, IT services, and IT infrastructure for the site.
  • Drive digitalization initiatives and support modernization of site operations.
  • Define and develop the site’s IT architecture and landscape and implement aligned IT roadmaps in coordination with CP Global site business partners and Siemens Energy IT reference architecture.
  • Implement IT security protection concepts and support compliance, audits, and escalation handling.
  • What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
  • 8+ years of IT experience, including experience managing IT projects.
  • Strong emphasis on leadership, governance, and orchestration of cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience partnering with business, analyzing requirements from both technical and business perspectives, and taking ownership of IT topics.
  • Clear site responsibility experience, including compliance, audits, and escalations.
  • Demonstrated track record supporting and driving local and global digitalization initiatives.
  • Experience managing IT and OT infrastructure implementations such as LAN, switch configuration, firewall setups, testbeds, labs, and engineering toolchains.
  • Strong engineering IT exposure, including PLM, CAx, simulation environments, and engineering labs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English, with proven stakeholder and change management capabilities.
  • Experience in site ownership topics including governance, escalation management, and coordination across impacted functions.
  • Strategic business partnering mindset with experience in prioritization and architecture thinking.
  • Proven project management experience delivering IT initiatives.
  • Experience in demand management, vendor coordination, budgeting, and handling site CyberSec and InfoSec topics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex situations, apply critical thinking, and maintain composure in high-volume environments.
  • Understanding of WAN/LAN architecture.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a service-oriented mindset and strong economic awareness.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to synthesize multiple viewpoints into actionable solutions for stakeholders and executives.
  • Clear understanding of the distinction between strategic business partner responsibilities and local IT administration tasks.
  • Experience in business partnering within an engineering center is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of engineering domains such as PLM, CAx, digital thread, labs, and engineering processes is advantageous.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and their impact on applications used at site is beneficial.
  • Experience with testbeds, labs, engineering toolchains, and OT/IT integration is advantageous.
  • Awareness of digital thread concepts is beneficial.
