The Opportunity
An exciting leadership opportunity exists for an experienced, faith-filled educator to join Mount Carmel College as Head of Campus – Secondary Campus, Rosewater commencing in Term 2, 2026.
In this key leadership role, you will be entrusted with advancing the College’s mission by providing strong spiritual, educational, and strategic leadership to our vibrant and diverse Catholic school community.
You will champion a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and pastoral care, ensuring our Secondary Campus continues to flourish as a place where students feel they belong, are encouraged to strive for personal excellence, and grow as compassionate and capable young people. You will foster a learning environment that reflects Gospel values and supports every student to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible and authentic leadership in Catholic identity, nurturing the spiritual life of the campus and embedding Gospel values in all aspects of school life
- Lead excellence in teaching and learning, with strong knowledge and experience in secondary curriculum and assessment, including SACE and NAPLAN
- Champion equity and inclusion, ensuring high-quality learning, wellbeing, and access for all students, with particular advocacy for students with disability and diverse learning needs
- Provide effective leadership in school management, fostering strong relationships and clear communication with students, staff, families, and the wider College community
About You
- Has a deep understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practices, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
- Passionate about inclusive education and has extensive experience with NCCD.
- Values collaboration and has a proven ability to mentor and develop staff.
- Possesses highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Committed to Catholic education and fostering a faith-filled, welcoming school culture.
- Highly organised, with strong forward-planning skills; consultative in approach and confident in decision-making
- Proven ability to engage positively with adolescents, including experience managing complex, sensitive, or challenging situations
- Well-developed verbal communication and public speaking skills
