Role Summary

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in backend API development and modern frontend technologies to build scalable internal and customer-facing applications.

This role will partner closely with Data Engineering, Manufacturing, Analytics, and Product teams to deliver high-performance, secure, and intuitive applications that power operational and manufacturing workflows. A background in data engineering or experience working with data platforms is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs (REST/FastAPI or similar frameworks).
• Build and enhance responsive frontend web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Develop data-driven user interfaces for manufacturing systems, analytics dashboards, and operational tools.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to efficiently consume data models, APIs, and datasets.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and role-based access control mechanisms.
• Optimize API performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Integrate applications with AWS services and event-driven architectures.
• Participate in system design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Implement CI/CD best practices, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Product, Analytics, and Operations stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong focus on backend APIs and frontend development.
• Strong backend proficiency in Python , Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Strong frontend expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
• Practical experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of system design principles, scalability patterns, and performance optimization.
• Ability to build MVPs quickly and work effectively in an agile development environment.

Good to Have (Data Engineering Background)

• Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Familiarity with DBT and SQL-based data modeling.
• Experience integrating APIs with data warehouses and analytics systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing or test data workflows.
• Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau or internal analytics dashboards.
