The Vadodara plant plays a key role in producing high-performance polymer products and components for premium interior, furniture, and industrial applications. The organization maintains world-class operational standards supported by robust EHS systems, ISO-certified processes, and a strong focus on employee safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct EHS induction training for all newly joined employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Deliver daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) before the start of operations.
  • Provide training on critical EHS topics such as Fire Safety, Emergency Response, Chemical Spill Management, PPE usage, First Aid, and Safe Work Practices.

Incident Management

  • Ensure timely reporting of accidents, incidents, near-miss cases, and unsafe conditions.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain incident records as per company standards and legal requirements.

Safety Compliance & SOP Implementation

  • Implement and ensure compliance with HSE systems, procedures, SOPs, and global EHS guidelines.
  • Enforce compliance with Work Permit Systems (Hot Work, Height Work, Electrical LOTO, Confined Space Entry, etc.).
  • Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for all non-routine and high-risk activities.

Safety Infrastructure & Facility Management

Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all safety systems including:

  • Fire Pump House
  • Hydrant System & Fire Alarm Panel
  • Fire Extinguishers & Fire Detection Systems
  • Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) & Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
  • Emergency Equipment (Ambulance, Stretchers, Fire PPE, SCBA sets)
  • Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance for all HSE equipment.

Environment Management

  • Ensure proper collection, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste as per GPCB guidelines and prepare manifests.
  • Monitor environmental parameters (air, water, noise, soil, stack emission) with third-party agencies as per GPCB consent.
  • Support compliance with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.

Safety Audits & Inspections

  • Conduct regular internal safety inspections across plant departments as per SOP.
  • Facilitate third-party safety audits as per IS 14489 and ensure compliance with audit findings.
  • Maintain and update documents as per ISO 45001:2018 and corporate requirements.

Emergency Preparedness

  • Lead emergency response planning and organize periodic mock drills (fire drill, evacuation drill, chemical spillage drill).
  • Ensure readiness of emergency equipment and volunteer teams.

PPE & Safety Programs

  • Evaluate, maintain, and monitor personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Develop and implement a PPE Matrix aligned with job-specific hazards.
  • Promote safe work practices and build a culture of safety awareness and total employee involvement.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain all statutory and internal EHS records, logs, checklists, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports and share EHS KPIs with plant leadership and corporate EHS.

Additional Expectations

  • Demonstrate flexibility in managing dynamic EHS requirements during production changes or new project activities.
  • Coordinate effectively with vendors, auditors, service providers, and government bodies for EHS-related activities.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and corporate environmental programs.
