Huge is looking for a Business Analyst to support cross-functional analysis efforts across high-impact digital initiatives. The Business Analyst is responsible for driving and supporting clarity, quality, and consistency in requirements, ensuring alignment between business goals, capabilities, and delivery execution.
This role partners closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and non-functional requirements.
A successful candidate brings strong problem-solving skills, confidence operating in ambiguity, and the ability to simplify complex systems and decisions. This individual can operate independently on large, complex initiatives or across multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment and delivery momentum.
What Youll Be Doing:
Requirements Definition & Documentation
- Translating Needs: Partner with Product and Design leads to turn business objectives into clear functional and non-functional requirements (User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and BRDs).
- Visualizing Logic: Create and maintain analysis artifacts such as process flows, data maps, and wireframe annotations to ensure there are no “blind spots” in the build.
- Design Annotation: Review design files to ensure that every button, toggle, and interaction is accounted for in the technical requirements.
Backlog & Sprint Support:
- Jira Ownership: Act as the primary owner of the Jira backlog for your assigned projects, ensuring “backlog health,” clear traceability, and that every ticket is ready for development.
- Sprint Participation: Support Product and Project Managers during sprint planning, grooming, and release cycles, helping the team understand priorities and trade-offs.
- Estimation Support: Assist Engineering and QA teams in sizing tasks by providing the necessary context and detail to inform feasibility.
Quality & Validation:
- UAT Support: Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and demos, validating that the delivered code actually meets the requirements you defined.
- Risk Identification: Flag gaps or conflicts in requirements early in the lifecycle to prevent “re-work” later in the project.
What Wed Like to See:
- 2+ Years of Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner, ideally within a digital agency, consultancy, or tech-forward environment.
- SDLC Fluency: A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Requirements Mastery: Experience writing high-quality User Stories and Acceptance Criteria. Bonus points if you have touched Accessibility, Localization, or Integration requirements.
- Tool Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence. You should know how to organize a backlog so its easy for anyone to read.
- Logical Thinking: An ability to simplify complex systems into step-by-step logic. If you love a good flowchart, youll fit right in.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English. You need to be able to explain a technical requirement to a designer and a creative vision to an engineer.
- Collaboration: Comfort working with globally distributed teams across different time zones.
