Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Freelance SAP FICO Consultant specializing in Record-to-Report (R2R), US Tax, and Lockbox. The consultant will be tasked with configuring and customizing SAP FICO systems, supporting financial processes, analyzing requirements, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize financial workflows, designing solutions for CO-PA and Lockbox, and performing testing and issue resolution. The role demands expertise in finance processes and SAP module integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure SAP FICO modules including GL/New GL, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, and Intercompany accounting
- Integrate R2R processes with Controlling, Bank Management, and related SAP modules
- Work with finance and R2R teams to prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and workflows
- Identify automation opportunities and recommend process improvements
- Support integrations with satellite systems such as POS, OMS, and PSP platforms
- Prepare and execute SIT and UAT test scenarios and scripts
- Coordinate defect tracking, resolution, and validation during testing cycles
- Support financial consolidation and reporting requirements
- Ensure accurate data migration, reconciliation, and cutover activities
- Develop end-user training materials and job aids
- Conduct workshops for finance users on new processes
- Support organizational change management initiatives
Required Skills
- Strong SAP FICO configuration experience
- Expertise in R2R processes
- Experience with US Tax regulations and 1099 reporting
- Hands-on experience with Lockbox processing
- Strong knowledge of GL, AR, AP, Intercompany accounting
- Experience supporting finance system integrations
- Experience in SIT, UAT, and cutover activities
- Strong stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation skills
