Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced VMware Lead to join our team and take ownership of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 implementation and ongoing operations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in complex environments, understands licensing inside out, and has a strong background in both VMware and Red Hat technologies. You’ll work closely with a team managing vRA, vRLI, and vROps, driving automation, compliance, and operational excellence.

About the Role

Lead VCF 9 implementation projects and manage day-to-day operations for VCF environments.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the core team administering vRA (vRealize Automation), vRLI (vRealize Log Insight), and vROps (vRealize Operations).
  • Oversee Identity Management (IDM) and Lifecycle Management (LCM) for VMware environments.
  • Act as the go-to expert for VMware licensing, ensuring compliance and optimization.
  • Manage VMware infrastructure components like vSphere, NSX, and vSAN.
  • Design and implement automation workflows using vRA, integrating with ITSM tools.
  • Monitor and fine-tune performance using vROps, ensuring proactive capacity planning.
  • Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems and maintain Red Hat licensing compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold security, governance, and operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex VMware and Red Hat issues, providing detailed root cause analysis.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing best practices and technical expertise.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Proven track record in VCF 9 implementation and operational management.
  • Deep knowledge of VMware licensing and compliance.
  • Mandatory experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and licensing.
  • Strong skills in vRA, vRLI, vROps, IDM, LCM, and VCF.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools like PowerCLI and vRA.
  • Familiarity with cloud integration (AWS/Azure) for VMware solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
